Hotel Overview
Their historic hotel launched in 1904 as the Hotel Seville just before the opening of the New York City subway. Over one hundred years later, designer David Rockwell's multi-million dollar transformation maintains our status as the pinnacle of elegance and style in this extraordinary city.
Accommodations
Their 317 guest rooms were redesigned by renowned architect, David Rockwell. The guest rooms feature traditional materials with a modern twist. Distressed mirrored furnishings, polished nickel, tall leather headboards, and dark walnut trimmings all combine beautifully to create a unique aesthetic. Penthouse Suites are over 1,000 square feet each. Both suites feature a living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom with 1 King bed. Both bathrooms feature a jacuzzi tub, stand alone separate shower and a flat screen television. These wonderful rooms have 180 degree views of Manhattan. The parlor also features a dining table with six chairs.
Dining
The Carlton Hotel's lobby, with forty-foot ceilings, a two story waterfall and crystal chandeliers, is a soaring and enchanting space that provides the backdrop for our restaurant, Millesime. Millesime is derived from the French word for vintage, which is
apropos given the many landmark details inherent to the space, including the exquisite 1904 Tiffany-style glass dome skylight and extraordinary mosaic floor.
Millesime, accessible from the Carlton Hotel's lobby, exists on two floors, joined by one inner stair. On the first level, you will discover Salon Millesime and the lobby bar, which welcomes you into a lively lounge area that serves as a local coffee bar
throughout the morning, and later, transforms itself into a wine bar serving small plates of food throughout the evening. No reservations are necessary.
On the second level, you will discover a bustling seafood brasserie with red banquets, a marble raw bar and an open kitchen that allows you to watch the culinary team at work. Adjacent to the brasserie and across a 30-foot glass bridge, you will find Bar Millesime, a reservations-only cocktail bar.
