In addition to EPIC, Surfcomber, and Vero Beach Hotel and Spa in sunny South Florida, Kimpton Hotels & Resorts has recently introduced its new property, The Angler’s Hotel. The boutique property was first built in 1931, restored in 2007 and reopened under the Kimpton brand on November 21, 2013. Spread out over four separate buildings, the pet-friendly Angler's has 48 rooms, 660 Restaurant serving Nuevo Latin Cuisine, indoor-outdoor meeting space, pool with cabanas, and seven spa suites. In 2014, a project to expand the new space will begin, adding 83 more rooms, a lobby lounge and rooftop pool.
“South Florida has been an especially integral part of Kimpton’s growth story over the last five years as a market with high demand among our most loyal guests. We look forward to continuing our success here,” said Mike Depatie CEO and President of Kimpton. “This is also an exciting addition for us as it further strengthens our portfolio in popular leisure markets, joining hotels we already have in Scottsdale, Aspen, Vero Beach and Santa Barbara.”
Miami-based development and asset management firm LBL Group specifically selected Kimpton to manage the new south beach hotel. “We’re really excited to be working with Kimpton to help take The Angler’s to the next level with our new development,” said Eric Lawrence, principal, LBL Group. “The brand has successfully made its mark here in South Florida with their reputation of sincere and attentive service, thoughtful design and signature style. There’s no doubt they will help propel us to even greater positioning in the market.”
