With New Year’s Eve rapidly approaching, it’s time to make plans to see it in with style. Luckily some of our favorite luxury hotels are offering the chance to do that. The super-chic Setai Miami can always be counted on for a well-planned New Year’s bash brimming with both champagne and elegance, and this season is no exception. The hotel is hosting an exclusive “journey” to Marrakech circa 1950, and guests are advised to dress appropriately (think Bogart and Bacall in Casablanca and you won’t go wrong).
The highlight of the evening will be a Tattinger Champagne welcome reception and six-course tasting menu by Executive Chef David Werly. The hotel’s renowned The Restaurant and Grill, along with The Courtyard, will be made over for the event with Arabian-inspired décor, copper lanterns, Moroccan carpets and Bedouin tents. Entertainment will include belly dancers, tarot card readings, Buddha Bar’s DJ Popat and more. Tickets are $695 per person, reservations required; rates for accommodation at the hotel over New Years Eve start at $1,400 per night.
New York City’s masterful Mandarin Oriental is also celebrating in style with a New Year’s Eve Gala Weekend Hotel Package. The glamorous getaway features luxe accommodations in a room or suite with breathtaking views of the city. New Year’s festivities are happening in the 36th floor ballroom with a black-tie evening including a premium open bar, a cocktail and hors d’oeuvre reception, champagne, a gourmet dinner, dancing to live music and more. Naturally, the amenities include a late check-out time of the next day. Rates for the two-night package begin at $5,450.
