While skiing in Aspen enjoying the fresh powder, have you ever thought to yourself, “You know, I could really go for some Champagne right about now”? If not, then you’re doing it all wrong. Returning this year to the one of the nation’s best ski towns is Oasis, said to be the world’s first pop-up Champagne and caviar bar. Operated by The Little Nell, the five-star version of a food truck roams around the slopes serving Veuve Clicquot and California Caviar to skiers and snowboarders.
“Because it may be gone as quickly as it appears, Oasis compels you to experience it, or risk missing the opportunity,” describes Ted Mahon, a longtime Aspen Mountain ski instructor. “It’s not just about having a drink - it’s about spontaneity, and living in the moment.”
Beginning President’s Day break, Oasis will venture through the snowy forest Friday through Sunday afternoons via a snowcat. Since it will change locations each weekend, be sure to follow their social media accounts to find its exact destination. Or, just keep an eye out for Veuve’s signature yellow umbrellas and chaises-lounges. Oasis will serve bottled water and chips as well and flutes of Champagne will be priced at $19/glass or $95 for a bottle.
