Hotel Overview
This is what we are proposing, a unique place and daring design, sculpted out of the rock face, where no two rooms are the same and where nature reigns supreme in a natural setting where space has created a stronghold of incomparable beauty where emotions constantly surprise and delight. The Hotel Punta Tragara dates back to 1920 circa when Engineer Vismara built a private villa on the suggestion of the famous French architect Le Corbusier. During the Second World War is was used as the headquarters for the American Command and hosted such famous guests as General Eisenhower and Sir Winston Churchill. In 1968 Count Manfredi bought the villa and turned it into the Hotel Punta Tragara, taking on the management of the property.
Accommodations
The Hotel has 44 rooms and suites, no two of which are the same, and all of which have their own unique decor, panoramic position and furnishings. Each room leaves its own inimitable and indelible mark. The suites are fairytale settings in which you can make your dreams come true.
Dining
The innate good taste which is to be found throughout the Punta Tragara is also found in the refined menus in the MonzĂą Restaurant and in the La Pergola Pool Bar.
From breakfast to dinner guests can delight in a choice of aromas and flavours inspired by the most classical of Mediterranean traditions. And at lunch and dinner the genuine Mediterranean dishes and the fresh fish prepared by the chef, who is a true artist and culinary expert, are reflected in the array of specialties which are a feast not only for the eyes.
Spa
"UNICA", a splendid oasis entirely given over to beauty and wellness treatments that offers guests a special program to get them back in top form for the summer. Designed by Italian Architect Livio Talmona, Unica offers an inspired location over the sea with its 4 treatment rooms , relax area and gym.
Pool
The Punta Tragara's two swimming pools are an ideal extension of the blue sky. One of the pools is heated. They are open for guests from 10.00 to 18.30 daily and are yet another occasion to delight in the relaxing and exclusive hospitality of the Hotel Punta Tragara. |
