Accommodations
Standard Hotel Rooms- Appointed in rich fabrics, warm woods and Native American motifs, The Ahwahnee Standard Rooms offer comfort and elegance as a counterpoint to the rugged beauty outside.
Classic Hotel Rooms- Classic rooms provide the classic experience at The Ahwahnee, with finely appointed rooms and better views of the hotel grounds and spectacular Yosemite scenery.
Featured Hotel Rooms- Enjoy Yosemite from a balcony adjoining your hotel room at The Ahwahnee. Only a small number of these rooms are available, and are booked on a first-come first-served basis.
Cottage Rooms-
Located among the dogwoods and pines on the hotel grounds, these rustic cottages have the comfort of a mountain lodge with Native American accents and natural wood furnishings. Each room has a newly renovated private bath (renovation completed March 2008), television, telephone, small refrigerator and small stone patio.
The cottages now offer air conditioning and they are also surrounded by shade trees and ceiling fans that also help to moderate day-time summer temperatures to cool the rooms during the summer months.
Junior Suites-
The El Dorado Diggins Suite has been a private dining room, a cocktail lounge and even a chapel during World War II. This suite comfortably sleeps four and features a sunken living room, large picture window, slate entry and the only jacuzzi bathtub in Yosemite.
The Mary Curry Tresidder Suite features a four-poster canopy bed and rich color palette, and has a decidedly romantic aura. The large bathroom offers craftsman designed cabinets and bidet. On her trip to Yosemite in 1983, Queen Elizabeth II stayed in this suite, and since then it has been fondly referred to as "The Queen's Room".
Dining
The Ahwahnee Dining Room-
The crown jewel of Yosemite dining, the award-winning Ahwahnee Dining Room is both magnificent and intimate. The 34-foot-high beamed ceiling with large sugar pine trestles that complement the room's granite pillars, floor-to-ceiling windows, chandeliers, linen tablecloths and beautiful china create the perfect ambiance for a memorable dining experience.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily, as well as an unforgettable Sunday Brunch. Expect to experience culinary delight during your visit here.
Golf
Wawona Golf Course-
Yosemite's Wawona Golf Course was the first regulation course in the Sierra Nevada when it opened in 1918, and has provided golfers challenging but rewarding rounds ever since. Designed by Walter G. Favarque to blend seamlessly into its spectacular surroundings, this nine-hole, par-35 national park golf course measures 3,050 yards and includes two par-five holes and three par-three holes. Different tee positions per side provide a par-70, 18-hole format. Golfers of every level enjoy the rolling terrain, variety of challenging holes and tranquil setting of this historic course.
