Hotel Overview
Refinery Hotel stands in the heart of the Fashion District, blocks from Bryant Park, the theater district, Times Square, and the Empire State Building.
Centered in the heart of New York's creative hub, Refinery Hotel will transform the building's loading dock into Hatbox, a raw, industrial gallery space that will serve as a blank canvas for curated art, fashion, and cultural programming.
Boasting two-story ceilings and blank white walls, the loading dock transform in to the HatBox - a space that functions as the perfect venue for industry creatives to install pop-up shops, host media and launch events, conduct film and photo shoots and produce runway shows, presentations, sample sales, trunk shows and other-fashion oriented events.
Accommodations
There are 197 Guest Rooms and Executive Suites throughout the Hotel's 12 elegant floors, each tailored and custom furnished. The chic décor and artistic ambiance are enriched by industrial accents that hark back to the building's early-19th century life as a home to milliners and hat factories.
Dining
Refinery Hotel has created a micro outpost of New York's vital culinary scene, a site-specific neighborhood of diverse dining and drinking opens within the Hotel's grand walls.
Through the vintage archway in the lobby is Refinery's own Winnie's Lobby Lounge. A Lounge named after Miss Winifred T. McDonald who ran the bustling tea salon and the original site in the Colony Arcade Building - think gin served in teacups with scones, jams and cream to stylish women in need of respite after shopping on 5th Avenue and unwelcome at the area's bars. Today, dapper mixologists serve inventive cocktails and pour from an extensive whisky selection.
Further in the lobby, Refinery's signature restaurant, Parker & Quinn is something between an English pub and a Parisian wine bar serving American fare with regional twists, designed by the visionary Derek Sanders, an architect, style maker and bon vivant.
The head chef is Jeffrey Forrest who has sharpened his knives all over the world, not the least of it in NYC with Daniel "Gourmet-burger-guru" Boulud.
Moving skyward, the hotel's industrial chic aesthetic continues out into the open air where the Refinery Rooftop does party time and quiet time in three indoor-and-outdoor hangout sections. Discover artisanal cocktails and selective wines to cinematic views of Manhattan and the Empire State Building. Even in winter, city sunsets glow through a retractable glass roof. Inside, a fountain and fireplace provide a backdrop to a roster of local live and DJ entertainment.
