This hotel features 90 guest rooms, all of which include complimentary toiletries, mini bars and cable television. Inspired by the Bidermeier or Impero styles of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and furnished with authentic period furniture. The walls are covered in vibrant wallpaper and gold cornices. The floors vary, some with rugs blending in with the wallpaper creating a pleasant swatch of color, to the hand vanished parquet floors. Each bedroom has its own particular style that makes it unique. The Murano glass chandeliers and the rich bed covers both reminiscent of a style of the past. The "Brunello" restaurant is one of the most distinguished in Verona. Decorated in an Art Nouveau style, it is the ideal place to sample typical regional dishes from Chef Augusto Paier. He offers a cuisine rich with the flavors and aromas of the Veneto region, along with Italian and international dishes. Amongst the Chefs suggestions are, Triangles of fresh pasta stuffed with lobster meat, served in wild fennel butter, the Small sole "turbans" on a bed of sweet pepper sauce and, to follow perhaps Sweet tulip with strawberries and caramel, sprinkled with Modena Balsamic vinegar. Veneto is a country where the oenological culture has ancient origins and as food has in wine its natural companion, the wine list displays a wide selection of the area's best wines. |
