Hotel Overview
Situated on a clifftop 1000 feet above sea level, Palazzo Sasso majestically overlooks the famous Amalfi coastline. Picturesque fishing villages and enchanting treasures of art abound. Originally built in the 12th century and tastefully refurbished to deluxe standards, this authentic masterpiece offers 43 air-conditioned bedrooms and suites, most of which have exclusive jacuzzi baths and unique sea views.
The rooftop features a magnificent sun terrace with hydromassage plunge pools and a private bar.
All rooms and suites are decorated with hand made Vietri tiles, antique carpets and furniture from the XVIII and XIX centuries. Brass accessories and appliqués. Frette linen and Bulgari amenities, satellite TV, safe, minibar, internet access and I-Pod docking stations.
Dining at Palazzo Sasso is truly a unique experience. You can enjoy a candle light dinner served in our two Michelin stars restaurant Rossellinis or a delicious casual meal on the Terrazza Belvedere. Born in Putignano, a very important village in Puglia, famous for it's carnival, which is one of the oldest in Italy, Pino Lavarra is one of the most important chef in the campania region.In 2001, Pino received from the American Academy of Hospitality sciences, the recognition of "One of the Best Chef in the World" and also the Italian Guide start to express their gastronomic critics and in November 2002 "Rossellinis" took the prestige culinary award, One star Michelin.
In November 2003 "Rossellinis took the award from another prestige guide "Veronelli" with a star, while in January 2004, he received a 100/100 category from the Condé Nast Traveler " The best by Food Europe". |
