With a Michigan Avenue address, Hard Rock Hotel Chicago - which opened in the historic Carbide & Carbon Building eight years ago - is just a short stroll away from Magnificent Mile shopping, Navy Pier, the Theatre District and the Loop.
The Platinum King room, located on the 16th floor, boasts a spectacular view of Michigan Avenue. Immaculate and undeniably lavish, the 500-square-foot room features ample living space with a bed fit for a king (or rock star). The large windows not only provide amazing views of the Magnificent Mile in all her glory, but also cater to the rock star lifestyle with full coverage drapes for total blackout. To top it off, guests can also jam on complimentary Fender® guitars throughout their stay and download a curated playlist.
Adorned with rocker paraphernalia, portraits of David Bowie hang in the hall and a young Tina Turner looms in the luxurious bathroom. Room service arrives throughout the day to tidy up and stock the essentials.
Each floor showcases a musical icon, from Chuck Berry to Madonna. The Artist Formerly Known as Prince (one of my all-time favorites) is featured throughout the 16th floor, which displays his infamous white "cloud" guitar and white silk shirt from the '98 Lovesexy tour.
Hard Rock Hotel Chicago's team is extremely friendly and service-oriented. The concierge goes above and beyond with celebrity-caliber connections and is always on-hand to answer questions. Transportation is never an issue as an abundance of taxi cabs wait readily outside of the lobby.
Hard Rock Hotel Chicago definitely earns its four stars and warrants a stay when visiting the Windy City. You will be treated like the rock star you always knew you were. |
