| Bedford Springs Resort is located just one mile from Bedford, Pennsylvania and three miles off of the Pennsylvania Turnpike at Exit 146. Pittsburgh International, Dulles, Reagan National, BWI and Harrisburg international airports are all located within a two hour drive of the 2,200-acre private estate. Guests may also arrive via train in Cumberland, Maryland which is serviced by Amtrack.

Omni Bedford Springs Resort has become known for its premier food and wine experience, guaranteed to please the most discriminating palate. Named for the year that Dr. John Anderson purchased the land upon which the resort now stands, 1796 Room has now been re-launched as a signature steak and chophouse, serving steaks, chops, fish and poultry of the highest quality.
1796 uses only the highest quality 21-day aged USDA prime beef. The meats are prepared at 1700° on infrared broiler ensuring juiciness, tenderness and flavor. All entrées are served with signature grilled artichokes, and "shared" side dishes are available à la carte along with a tasty dessert selection freshly prepared in-house by the pastry team.
Springs Eternal Spa, a 30,000-square-foot destination spa, is one of the few spas in the country utilizing natural spring water in all of its treatments. The spa's treatments are inspired by the resort's eight mineral springs, first used by the local Native Americans for their healing properties. Sample the historic "Bedford Baths" using the signature indigenous product line inspired by local herbs and botanicals. Unwind with a soothing massage or beauty treatment or simply spend a few moments in the serene spa garden.
In 1905, Bedford Springs Resort debuted one of the first indoor pools in the United States. Once upon a time, musicians would serenade the swimmers from an elevated opera box, and legend has it that daring sons of visiting dignitaries would plunge into the two-story pool from its upper level. Now you can experience this sparkling gem, fully restored to its lavish beauty. Simply dip into the peaceful waters and relax. The heated, spring-fed pool is open for swimming year-round. |
