Cozy, comfortable, spacious, this is the motto behind the rooms in the Grand Hotel Regina in Grindelwald. Thanks to its prime location, numerous rooms offer a breathtaking panorama of the famous North Face of the Eiger. At a height of 1650 meters it is one of the largest north faces in the Alps and one of the most demanding challenges for experienced mountaineers. In 1936 it was the scene of a well-known tragedy when all of the mountaineers in a rope team perished in a fatal accident; two years later a group led by Heinrich Harrer completed the first ascent.
