The Widder Hotel is unique. We have carefully refurbished eitght historic townhouses to create a distinctive style in which you can discover the new in the old, and the old in the new.

The fusion of historical architecture and innovative modern design creates a relaxed ambience with real character. The hotel is a furniture lover's paradise. Every famous piece of modern furniture by the biggest names in design and architecture is here...Somewhere. From Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe and Adolf Loos, to Charles and Ray Eames, Eileen Gray, Josef Hoffman, Frank Lloyd Wright, Mario Bellini and Harry Bertoia...the list goes on. This feast of classic modern design is distributed throughout the hotel, helping to harmonize the hundreds of years of different history and heritage it encompasses.
The antiques and works by renowned artists, in particular from contemporary times, lend the hotel its own distinctive character. Robert Rauschenberg has designed and created a picture especially for the stairway in the Penthouse Suite. A wealth of paintings, sculptures and artworks adorn the lobby, restaurants, conference facilities and all guest rooms from famous artists such as Augusto Giacometti, Serge Poliakoff, Max Bill, Andy Warhol and Sophie Taeuber-Arp.
