Hotel Overview
The Whiteface Lodge, a Lake Placid Resort, was envisioned as a return to the grandeur of the "Great Camps" of the Adirondacks with the luxury amenities of today's finest resorts and private residence clubs. Completed in June 2005, it is the vision of a former Olympian and developer who used his decades of building experience to create one of the grandest properties in the region. Much of the timber for this Lake Placid Resort was hand-milled on site and accents such as handcrafted Adirondack furnishings may be found throughout, creating a wonderfully authentic ambiance.
Accommodations
Each graciously appointed Whiteface Lodge suite is designed to conjure the sepia-tinted essence of a moment in Adirondack history. Yet, it will make you feel as if you've escaped to a timeless world where respite and repose are the sole concerns. Hence, The Whiteface Lodge's unique marriage of rustic elegance and contemporary luxury.
In each guest room, Adirondack hardwood furnishings and hand-forged accents are accompanied by splendid amenities, from jetted tubs and pillow-top beds to cast iron gas fireplaces (majority) and LCD televisions.
Dining
The Whiteface Lodge offers many different and exciting dining venues for the guests to enjoy. The premier restaurant KANU offers a wide variety of tapas and entrees in two sizes. For less formal dining we offer the Kanu Lounge, with comfortable seating and live music this is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a cocktail. For those who like to dine while they play we offer pool side dinging, the Canoe Club Grill at the private beach, and the Old Fashion Ice Cream Parlor with a fully menu of frozen treats for children and adults. The Whiteface Lodge also offers 24 hour room service.
Spa
The Lake Placid Spa at Whiteface Lodge takes its inspiration from the complex mosaic of Adirondack Mountain life. This intimate, 5,800-square-foot mountain spa hideaway blends the rustic beauty of its setting with a classic Zen ambiance. From the Maple Butter Massages to the signature Whiteface Peak Facial, the spa's luxurious treatments are inspired by the comfort evoked by the mountain environment and the healing benefits of indigenous ingredients.
