Hotel Overview

The ultra-chic Le Meridien Hotel Des Indes features 92 fully restyled rooms, including 13 suites, restored to their former splendour by the renowned Parisian architect Jacques Garcia. The bedroom features modern facilities in a historical ambiance. The luxurious bathrooms, with white marble basins and red Portuguese custom-made tiles, have beautiful black marble floors and contrasting white baths and rain showers. Corridors brightly decorated with bold murals of coloured tulips.

New facilities include a health club with indoor swimming pool, high speed internet in all guest rooms and wireless internet access in all public areas throughout the hotel. The grand atrium, restored to its former glory, is a marvellous 'sitting and watching' area with an enormous antique chandelier as the centrepiece. Refurbished meeting rooms are also available for business meetings or parties up to 100 guests.

Le Meridien Hotel Des Indes offers a luxurious experience in a charming and historical environment. Due to its central location and modern facilities, the hotel is ideal for both business and leisure travellers. An integral part of the history of The Hague, the hotel has played host to numerous Kings, Emperors, heads of state and celebrities since opening its doors to guests in 1881. The hotel was originally built as the town residence of Baron van Brienen, the personal advisor of King William III. In order to display his wealth, the Baron invested an enormous amount into this magnificent manor house. In 1881, 4 years after the Baron's death, the manor was sold and transformed into an elegant and extremely luxurious hotel, now known as Le Meridien Hotel Des Indes. This majestic building at the Lange Voorhout in the centre of the city has entered the next chapter in its long history.
