Hotel Overview
Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville offers southern hospitality, an ideal location just up the street from Music Row and the most luxurious stays in the city. As Tennessee's only hotel to receive AAA's Four Diamond Rating for more than 21 consecutive years, Loews Vanderbilt Hotel offers guests the ultimate Music City experience with exceptional service, luxury accommodations, and unmatched amenities.
When you first enter the lobby, you can't miss the lobby jukebox stocked with tunes of VIP guests to an impressive collection of autographed records and Country Music Hall of Fame memorabilia. The hotel is across the street from Vanderbilt College and is located within walking distance to Centennial Park that has a wonderful replica of the Parthenon.
While there are 340 guest rooms here, we stayed in one of 14 beautiful suites. The executive suite we stayed in is comprised of 750 square feet. The suite featured a separate living room complete with pull-out sofa, wet bar, full bathroom, flat-screen television, office/desk area and floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook downtown Nashville. The adjoining bedroom has another flast-screen television along with yet another full bathroom (ideal for families traveling with children) and a king bed. There is even a Keurig in-room coffee maker for added convenience.
The executive suites are extremely popular with VIP guests, including Al and Tipper Gore, who frequent the hotel when in Nashville. The connecting executive suite located on the concierge level (three floors) offers added amenities such as complimentary breakfast and hors d'ouevres from 5 to 7 p.m. each evening. We stopped by one evening for a glass of wine before heading down to dinner at Ruth's Chris. The hors d'oeuvres included a delicious array of sushi, the perfect complement to a glass of chardonnay.
Service here was excellent, as always with Loews Hotels, not that we needed anything because our room was perfectly stocked and we even received turndown service. There are also more luxurious designer suites, which encompass 2,100 square feet.
Don't miss the hotel's restaurants, which included Eat and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. We had dinner at Ruth's Chris that evening, which was a slice of carniverous heaven. Succulent steaks served sizzling in butter and its own juices in a beautifully decorated clubby dining room. Be sure to request a reservation here as the place was overflowing on a recent weekend evening.
After dinner here, we stopped by Drink, the restaurant's bar for an after-dinner nightcap. The bar here offered a quiet respite to the busy Ruth's Chris and the perfect ending to a wonderful evening.
Be sure to request a wake up call, which is recorded by Nashville entertainers such as Vince Gill, Amy Grant and Brenda Lee.
Regina Hicks, who heads up the hotel's concierge, is extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the city so be sure to check in with her to find out the hottest happenings in town.
The other restaurant, Eat, offers a wonderful buffet breakfast that should not be missed. From southern signatures such as grits and biscuits and gravy, to traditional breakfast staples, including waffles, fresh fruit, bagels, muffins, chicken sausages and an omelette station, you won't leave here hungry.
Many businesses come to this property because of its 24,000 square feet of available function space, accommodating groups up to 1,200. On-site parking is available with self parking charged at a rate of $21 a day and valet at $24 a day. Loews boasts some of the industry's most innovative and successful travel programs, including Loews Loves Kids for families and Loews Loves Pets for discerning animals on the road.
