| Located 170 km from Montevideo and 45 minutes by ferry from Buenos Aires, Colonia del Sacramento stands out due to its architectural beauty and historical relevance. Founded in 1680 by the Portuguese, it was later disputed by the Spanish settled on the opposite bank of the river at Buenos Aires. This fortified town kept changing hands from crown to crown, until Uruguay finally declared its independence in 1825.

Sheraton Colonia Golf & Spa Resort offers 104 spacious guest rooms, including 84 Classic Rooms with golf course or river view, 4 Deluxe Rooms and 4 Master Suites with river view, where you will be able to enjoy incredible sunsets.
All rooms are equipped with The Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed, laptop-sized safety deposit boxes, High Speed Internet Access and double phone line. Non-smoking rooms and rooms accessible to people with disabilities are available.
Deluxe Rooms and Master Suites also offer a private balcony facing the river, larger work station area, 29" plasma TV, larger bathroom including Jacuzzi and separate shower and bath.
Additionally our Master Suites have 80 square meters including a separated living room with individual entrance, toilette, kitchenette, and walk in closet in bedroom.
Dining
Restaurante Cava Real features a wine cellar with wines from all over the world, including the finest wines from Uruguay and Argentina. Seating is available for 100 with an outside deck available for you to have breakfast and lunch, and enjoy spectacular views of the RÃo de la Plata and the golf course. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the international menu offers regional Uruguayan cuisine and a wide variety of steaks and seafood prepared in a traditional Uruguayan wood burning grill. The daily breakfast buffet features a wide assortment of fresh fruit, freshly baked breads, fresh Uruguayan yogurts, cheeses, dairy products, and hot entrees.
Spa
The impressive Real Spa extends over 1,250 square meters and offers a rich selection of services to enhance the body and mind. Immerse yourself in the inspired facial and body treatments and therapeutic massages available in our 17 treatment rooms. You?ll also enjoy our state-of-the-art fitness center, sauna, and steam bath. Of our three open-air pools, one is heated, and another is covered and features a whirlpool.
Golf
The spectacular Real Golf, a par 70 with 18 holes, designed by Ing Emilio Serra. The course is situated amongst Uruguayan Eucalyptus trees, lakes, and incredibly beautiful countryside. The putting greens offer different levels and the landing features of the greens and fairways are excellent. The course also offers great views of Colonia's gorgeous sunsets that light up the sky like nowhere else. Three different levels of tee offs are located at every hole.

From the magnificent Cevallos Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 500 persons, to the versatile Vizconde Function Room, which can fit 100 and is divisible into two smaller rooms, our facilities offer it all.
