Mount Juliet is a leading luxury resort in Ireland. The hotel which is set on 1500 acres of parkland has 57 bedrooms, a spa, an equestrian centre with cross-country courses and trekking trails, a Jack Nicklaus 18 hole golf course and a range of estate activities including fishing, archery and croquet.
Accommodations
Mount Juliet Hotel Kilkenny, provides a five star experience and is one of the most luxurious Hotels in Kilkenny with 31 luxury hotel bedrooms at Mount Juliet House, including two presidential suites. Each hotel room is individually designed, in keeping with the concept of a private, family home. Each room is also named, drawing inspiration from the history of the estate and the indeed the history of Kilkenny. To compliment all of the services provided by the staff of the house, in the evening as you prepare for dinner, the beds are turned down, the lamps are lit and the drapes drawn.
Dining
The property has 2 main restaurants:
The Lady Helen Restaurant enjoys panoramic views over the estate and River Nore. Here a variety of international dishes are prepared using local produce and fresh herbs, picked daily from the estate's own herb garden. Gourmet dining and superb service are complemented by the opulent ambience of dining in the Lady Helen.
Kendal's is a French Brasserie and provides an ideal spot for great food in a casual atmosphere. The dishes served are our interpretation of French brasserie classics. The service is refined yet informal.
Also available is The President's Bar, our all-day dining option that serves soups, snacks and salads and an extensive charcoal grill menu throughout the day. Here you can enjoy an informal and child-friendly service while enjoying wonderful views of the Mount Juliet golf course.
Golf
At Mount Juliet we welcome all golfers, individuals, golf societies and corporate golf groups. You will find a full range of golf facilities at Mount Juliet to suit your golfing and catering requirements.
Activities
Experience a country lifestyle by indulging in a spot of clay pigeon shooting or archery. Clay pigeon shooting is a sport that can be enjoyed all year round by individual guests or groups of up to 12. The layout provided is for sporting clays and both beginner and expert are equally catered for. All equipment is provided for on-site.
The archery ground, in a woodland setting, provides a relaxing introduction to this ancient skill. All equipment and full archery tuition is provided. Archery is an activity that can be enjoyed by all ages from age six upwards.
Fishing for Atlantic Trout and Salmon...Unexploited for four decades, the waters of the River Nore and the Kings River with their designated beats, now deliver the sort of yield that many anglers crave. This is game angling at its very best, with wild Atlantic salmon and brown trout angling guaranteeing an exhilarating experience for the many anglers who have discovered Mount Juliet estate.
Mount Juliet Leisure Centre is located in the Clubhouse area of the estate. The Leisure Centre is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The minute you walk through the doors, your body starts to unwind. For relaxation, you can enjoy the sauna and steam room which is scented with Eucalyptus, as well as our 17-metre indoor heated swimming pool with Hydra water jets and a waterfall.
