The New Sheridan Hotel has served as Telluride's social center since 1895. Located just two blocks from the ski lifts, the hotel's location in the heart of downtown Telluride provides an ideal base for visitors. Home to the town's oldest bar, the Historic New Sheridan Bar, a world-renowned restaurant, the Chop House, and a charming café, the Parlor; the New Sheridan has raised impeccable quality and service to a new level. Accommodations
During an expansive renovation completed in late 2008, the hotel's 26 guest rooms received a luxurious transformation under the guidance of internationally renowned designer Nina Campbell. Each individually designed room captures the historic charm of Telluride in an atmosphere of warmth, comfort and pampering.
Indulgent touches include 100 percent Egyptian cotton sheets and towels, heated bathroom floors, walk-in closets, iPod docking stations, LCD flat screen televisions and plush robes. The New Sheridan's two new roof-top hot tubs provide an après ski sanctuary with views of the 14,000-foot San Juan Mountains. Additionally the hotel offers secured ski storage with boot warmers and a long list of amenities designed to make guests feel pampered.
Dining
On-site dining options include the Chop House restaurant, the Parlor, and the historic New Sheridan Bar. The Chop House is a popular gathering spot where guests can enjoy premium steaks, fresh seafood and a variety of unexpected entrees along with over 200 selections from the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence-winning wine list. Added in late 2008, the Parlor serves espresso specialty drinks and light breakfast and lunch items along with wine and cocktails in the evening. Long a favorite of Telluride locals and visitors, the New Sheridan's historic bar is among the oldest watering holes in the west. Recently ranked among the top 10 après ski bars in the world by Forbes Traveler, the bar provides an atmosphere unlike any other. |
