This summer, Baltimore is preparing for the largest tourism event in the history of the city as our national anthem, the Star Spangled Banner, turns 200 this year. Festivities include civil war reenactments, fireworks, air shows and other events. At the end of the day, a welcome respite from the crowds can be found at the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore.
Within its 256 rooms, the property showcases the best views of the marina: 80 percent of the rooms feature water views. The hotel also has 45 expansive and lavish suites ranging from Executive- to Two-Bedroom Suites (with a fire place and kitchen), and Presidential Suites. The design of the rooms have an elegant mixture of leather upholstery, American Black Walnut millwork, table top accents of brown marble and black granite, and custom carpeting designed by Axminster. The bathroom mirrors have built-in televisions.
The hotel's Wit & Wisdom restaurant is described as having a modern-American tavern menu with Eastern Seaboard sensibilities and a focus on comfort food classics. The restaurant focuses largely on locally grown products and has an open kitchen with a wood burning oven, rotisserie and classic Jefferson burners. Serving up delicious desert items, the new pastry chef Dyan Ng creates dishes such as lemon meringue and panna cotta. The harborside restaurant is also known for its outstanding crab cakes, which are made with very little fillers.
Pabu restaurant combines rustic, old-world Japanese charm with modern, urban sophistication. The restaurant menu features small plates and grilled items from the exposed robata grill, as well as sushi and sashimi. Pair the restaurant's popular the wood-fire grilled Ikayaki with one of the hundreds of Japanese sakis or a colorful Asian-inspired cocktail.

The CEO of Visit Baltimore, Tom Noonan, expects a “Super Bowl-esque kind of crowd” this summer in anticipation of the Star Spangled Banner bicentennial. The Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore is optimally located near all the scheduled events and will prove to be a fresh breath of luxury and tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of the city-wide celebration.
