| From the north on I-24 Take exit 48 (James Robertson Parkway) and go one block to Woodland Street. Turn right onto Woodland Street. Continue on Woodland Street over the bridge. The average size of their new guest rooms is 475 square feet - large even for a luxury hotel. The Capitol Grille is a celebrated and award-winning venue. Superbly appointed in an understated style of traditional elegance, the hotel's restaurant has hosted some of America's most noted individuals while serving as a gathering place for Nashvillians. Using the freshest regional ingredients, Executive Chef Tyler Brown prepares a memorable celebration of creative southern cuisine for every occasion with an emphasis on certified Tennessee Black Angus Beef and game, market fresh seafood, and the freshest and best available local products. Adjacent to the Capitol Grille, the Oak Bar has been lovingly restored to its original beauty, and continues to offer a private and relaxing ambiance for nourishment of the senses and the spirit. The extensive wine list and unique environment has often earned it the title of "best bar in Nashville." The Oak Bar played a significant role in the hotel's history -- The Francis Craig Orchestra entertained Nashvillians from the Oak Bar and The Capitol Grille from 1929 to 1945, the longest running hotel gig on the books.
