What to look for when you rent a Caribbean private villa.
For many people renting a vacation villa is a top-of-the-line choice, especially for Caribbean travelers. The reasoning is normally for privacy and the ability to go and come as they please; schedule their own itineraries, and simply relax with all the luxuries one can afford. If you’re in the searching phase for the perfect get-a-way, please keep reading.
What should you look for when you consider renting a Caribbean private villa? The first thing on most lists is probably privacy. Consider how many villas are attached to the one you are pursuing.
Secondly, are you traveling with children? Will the rental include babysitting services or age-appropriate activities for the children?
If you’re traveling as a couple, you might want to check further into the amenities such as availability of a pool, spa, air conditioning (some locations air conditioning is not customary), televisions, DVD players, hot tubs, golf, tennis, or beach gear, bikes, etc. Also, infinity pools and unobstructed views are normally high on the wish list.
Thirdly, if you are doing a simple online search be sure and recognize the difference in the word ‘private’. Private may mean privately owned or private (as in no one else is around). Most rental agencies arrange services such as masseurs, drivers, housekeepers, nannies, etc. whereas in most privately owned villas, where you rent directly from the owner, do not. This could be the key to your successful vacation!
And finally, start your search early because although there are several sought-after destinations in the Caribbean, villas book to capacity fast. Chartered flights to some of the islands also book to capacity fast, so choose your island and start your search for Caribbean private villas!
