Nowadays you rarely see American tourists lugging around bulky maps or large travel guides since all the same information can be conveniently found on our phones. In knowing this, Tahiti Tourisme launched its own travel app for Android and Apple devices so users can get to know this little slice of paradise before and during their visit.

With 118 different islands making up Tahiti and landscapes varying from volcanic mountains to white-sand beaches, having all the info you could need at the tip of your fingers will make it easy to relax and enjoy your South Pacific vacation. The electronic travel guide provides information and maps for dining, hotel, transportation and activities that can be found on most of the islands and atolls.

After the free app is downloaded (they recommend downloading completely before doing any traveling) all the materials will be there to reference during the trip without needing to be connected to Wi-Fi. When there is Internet access, feel free to upload photos or converse with other Tahiti Tourisme app users; and if the connection is spotty, the app will save your activity for later so you can share your memories with the world when it’s possible.
