The stylish Jardim Oceanico district of Rio de Janeiro will soon have a new luxury property in its midst with plans for a Trump Hotel to open on its grounds in 2016, just in time for the Summer Olympics. Having worked with LHS Barra S.A. and Polaris Brazil to get the development underway because of their expertise on the surrounding area and hospitality, the property is expected to go beyond the normal scope of luxury hotels. Trump Hotel Rio de Janeiro is going to be 13 stories of comfort and leisure and will certainly satiate guest’s needs since they will be the only luxury hotel in the neighborhood.

As Jardim Oceanico is in the famous beachfront borough of Barra da Tijuca, many of the guestrooms at the new Trump Hotel will offer sweeping views of the ocean, while those facing away from the sea have majestic mountains to enjoy.

Looking to not be outdone by the natural beauty of the surrounding area, the hotel's guestrooms are planned to be some of the best available in city. Marble flooring, private balconies and spacious accommodations barely scratch the surface of what the hotel is going to offer. Suites will range from 1,200 to 1,800 square feet and will come equipped with large patios and private plunge pools. The Presidential Suite will offer 2,992 square feet of space and hopes to be one of Rio's most luxurious rooms.

The brand's first hotel in South America will provide a number of lavish amenities including an infinity pool, VIP cabanas, nightclub, day spa and fitness center as well as personalized service and access to signature programs. Design-wise, Trump Hotels brought in the notable Rockwell Group, who are planning to bring robust, fresh aesthetics to the property.

“Our design concept for Trump Rio combines Modernism with the energy and creativity of this burgeoning city,” said President of Rockwell Group David Rockwell. A wonderful example of this fusion of the local area and their unique vision are artistic touches like a sculptured, amorphous front desk and light calcareous rock walls with brass inlayed throughout event spaces and the lobby.

With a focus on excellence in guest service and hard-to-match collections of amenities and programs, Trump Hotel Collection has quickly made a name for itself since it was first created in 2007. The brand is currently developing properties in Washington D.C. and Vancouver, which are planned to open in 2016 as well.
