Photo Courtesy of The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel The art of fine dining just got more literal with the introduction of the new Ritz-Carlton Rewards Member Exclusive Event, Dinner with Picasso. On Friday, May 17, The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel will display 15 rare and important Picasso pieces that have been curated from around the world and will be put together for the first time. A few of the pieces will also be available for sale. The full Dinner with Picasso experience includes oceanview accommodations at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, a cocktail reception, a four-course dinner for two prepared by Executive Chef Pedro Contreras, and wines hand-selected by Sommelier Jörn Kleinhans, CSW, CFA, and of course the opportunity to see some rare artworks by Picasso.
This specially curated Picasso collection will celebrate Picasso’s many periods, moods, genres and muses. The art we will examine focuses on printmaking techniques, revealing the true genius of Picasso, from the early years, through Cubism, then Classicism, until his reflective later years. The exhibition will also seek to uncover the inspirations behind Picasso’s creations by exploring vintage photography, textiles, found objects, and works by friends and collaborators. - Suleyman C. Cooke, Chief Curator
