It isn’t enough for Ritz-Carlton to pamper its adult guests, now they want to ensure its littlest visitors leave with a memorable experience of their own. Ritz Kids, a new children’s program in partnership with Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ocean Futures Society, has been launched in 84 hotels around the world based on the wonders of traveling.

“We are very excited to continue our highly successful relationship with a unique individual whose entire life has been spent dedicated to preservation of the environment, with particular attention to marine conservation and education,” said Herve Humler, President and Chief Operating Officer of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.

Guests ages 4-12 can partake in activities that encourage them to interact with the environment, learning how our planet works and what they can do to protect it for years to come. Ocean Futures Society has created experiences based on four key factors:
Water: Emphasizing the importance of sea life and health.
Land: Encouraging exploration and discovery.
Environmental Responsibility: Promoting the environmental health of our planet for the future.
Culture: Exposing young minds to a variety of art forms, including music, local customs and history, and cuisine.

“The fun and exciting activities appeal to a child's innate love of discovery and sense of curiosity. All kids start out as scientists, constantly asking ‘Why? What’s that? How does it work?’ I have spent my life exploring the natural wonders of the world, seeking to understand how our planet works and how we can better protect it,” said Jean-Michel Cousteau.
Each of the Ritz-Carlton’s family-friendly properties will be offering Ritz Kids adventures that incorporate the four elements and highlight the hotel’s location and all it has to offer. One destination could have children learning more about regional culture, finding indigenous birds or seeing where we get our food from in local gardens.

"Ritz Kids is offering something no other hotel company has before – globally consistent, immersive programming that builds upon the adventures of travel your child will always treasure,” Cousteau said. “These experiences will be remembered long after their stay.”
