A report conducted by industry experts and booking site Hotels.com reveals that Russia has become the second fastest growing outbound travel market. Last year alone, Russians spent $43 billion on international travel, making it the fifth largest foreign travel market in the world. The number of tourists has jumped from 7.7 million in 2006 to 35.7 million in 2012, and is projected to continue growing an average of 7.5 percent each year to 2017.
